2025 Winter Youth Basketball League

Teams & Coaches

All teams are coached by volunteer coaches and all players will be assigned to their team via a player draft regardless of skill level.

Volunteer coaches are needed in all divisions!

1. All volunteers are required to fill out an application.  CLICK HERE to apply

2. All volunteers are required to successfully pass a background check.  Once your application is reviewed, the Recreation Department will send you a link from Sterling Volunteers which will contain information regarding your required background check. (Paid for by Township)

3. All volunteers are required to have or be willing to obtain a Rutgers S.A.F.E.T.Y. Clinic Certification.  If you already have this certification, you can upload it on the volunteer form or you can email it directly to Brad Davis: This email address is being protected from spambots. Certification Objectives:

• helps coaches minimize the risk of injury to young athletes
• provides information about fundamental coaching concepts which enhances volunteer coaches’ effectiveness
• protects volunteer coaches from civil lawsuits
