Four score and seven years ago…our downtown looked a lot like it does today.  That, finally, is about to change.

Smart and limited development is coming soon to Front Street, East 2nd Street and Park Avenue and Forest Road - each is only three stories.  Shovels on these projects may be in the ground later this year.

The township’s redevelopment efforts will move forward this year in a big way as well.  We are closing in on identifying the developer who will revitalize our downtown “with a vibrant mix of retail, restaurants, apartments, a new combined library and town hall, convenient and efficient public parking, and public plazas along Park Avenue and surrounding streets,” as our Request for Qualifications sets forth.

We look forward to working on these matters and the many, many other initiatives that are part of this Council’s ambitious agenda for 2023.
