Scotch Plains Police Department Nominated for RISE Award

The Scotch Plains Police Department has been nominated for a 2022 RISE Award presented by @Axon.ProtectLife. The awards celebrate the officers, agencies, and organizations who serve their communities with unparalleled heroism and dedication. Agency and Community award winners will receive funding toward their non-profit programs.

The Scotch Plains Police Department (SPPD) has been constantly striving to become the epitome of what a Community Policing Agency should be through the participation of many public events including National Night Out, Scotch Plains Day, the annual Memorial Day Parade, our annual 'Trunk or Treat' as well as Coffee with a Cop and Cocoa with a Cop.

Residents are encouraged to vote for the Scotch Plains Police Department's RISE submission: https://riseawards.us.launchpad6.com/agency2022/entry/211

You can come back once per day until Friday, March 18, to vote.

There are the prizes for three categories:

  • One RISE Agency winner will receive $7,500 for their police foundation, police nonprofit or community project of agency’s choosing.
  • One RISE Community winner will receive $7,500 in funding towards the winning community program.
  • Three RISE Officer winners will receive an all-expense paid trip to Axon Accelerate in Phoenix, AZ, May 23-25, 2022.
