Governor Murphy Declares State of Emergency on 10/25

Governor Murphy has declared a State of Emergency for New Jersey due to the potential rainfall and wind from a coastal storm (Nor'Easter). We are currently under a flash flood watch, through Wednesday. We are currently in a range of getting 4 to 6 inches of rain.
There is a potential for flash flooding and trees, tree limbs and power lines coming down with wind gusts potentially up to 40mph.

Now is the time to check your generators are operational, if you have sump pumps that that are operational and that you clear any debris from downspouts and also move leaves that you have in the street to your grass area for the storm or ensure there is a space between the leaf piles and the curb line to allow water to flow. If you have a storm sewer near you house, make sure that it is clear.

Remember, Preparedness begins with the individuals and family.
