Help Clean Up Green Brook Waterway on Saturday, October 23

Join us for the Green Brook Waterway Clean Up on Saturday, Oct. 23 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
 
Sign up for the Scotch Plains clean-up by registering at Community Pass. Volunteers should meet at 10 a.m. at the Route 22 baseball field off Union Avenue. Gloves and bags will be provided. Volunteers under the age of 18, must be accompanied by an adult.
 
This event is being organized by the newly-established Mayor’s Alliance for a Clean Green Brook Waterway, a group of mayors from nearby municipalities who joined efforts to move forward with region-wide initiatives.
 
Scotch Mayor Josh Losardo is joining five other mayors in this initiative, including Bound Book Mayor Robert Fazen, Dunellen Mayor Jason Cilento, Green Brook Mayor James Benscoter, Middlesex Mayor John Madden and Plainfield Mayor Adrian Mapp.
 
Support and assistance are being provided from Assemblywoman Linda Carter and the Lower Raritan Watershed Partnership (LRWP) & Central Jersey Stream Team, in addition to help from local residents.
