Mayors Wellness Campaign: Project BrOKen - May 2
The Township of Scotch Plains, in partnership with iDance Ministry, will present Project BrOKen, a hybrid dance event, art exhibit and resource fair, on Friday, May 2 to raise awareness for mental health, addiction and disabilities using dance and art.
The event – at Plainfield High School, 950 Park Ave. in Plainfield – is part of the Mayor’s Wellness Campaign, a township-wide initiative to help residents achieve healthier lifestyles.
A resource fair will take place from 6-8 p.m., which will include representation from local service organizations. The art exhibition will run concurrently with the resource fair, giving attendees more perspective of those facing mental health challenges.
The live dance performance, scheduled for 7 p.m., will be performed by dancers from iDance Ministry, a group dedicated to using dance and art to explore awareness of mental health, addiction and disabilities.
