Leaves, Gumballs and Sticks for Spring Clean Up
- Scotch Plains conducts 1 spring brush & limb collection each year.
- Items may be placed at the curb no more than 10 days prior to the collection start date (4/15/2024)
- The crews make one pass through town and residents are asked to place all leaves, gumballs and sticks in separate piles leaving a small gully before the curb for pickup.
- Please note branches need to be cut to no longer than 3’ in length and 2” in diameter.
- No logs or stumps will be taken.
- Crews will be on both the North and South sides of town simultaneously.
- Residents are kindly reminded that township ordinance prohibits putting vegetative waste at the curb unless a pick up is scheduled.
Please note: Leaf collection will begin in late October.
Residents who have more vegetation to dispose of can bring it to the DPW yard on Plainfield Ave. between the hours of 7 a.m. and 2 p.m. or can purchase a permit to dispose at the Westfield Conservation Center: https://www.westfieldnj.gov/conservation
