Township to Unveil Redevelopment Plan on Wednesday, August 11

Scotch Plains residents are invited to attend the Downtown Redevelopment Committee meeting on Wednesday, August 11 at 7:30 p.m. for the unveiling of the downtown redevelopment plan and conceptual renderings.

The meeting will be held at Town Hall, 430 Park Ave. All are invited, as Mayor Josh Losardo, Committee members, and the Township’s redevelopment officials explain the plan and conceptual renderings to the public for the first time and outline next steps.

“The Downtown Redevelopment Committee has worked diligently in recent years to create a plan that is in the best interests of our community,” said Mayor Losardo, committee chair. “It is a responsible, smart redevelopment plan that incorporates the many design standards and amenities that residents are seeking. As we approach the plan’s completion, we are proud to start sharing this plan and begin gathering community input. I hope you will join us for this important presentation.”
