Memorial Day Parade

YOU ARE INVITED TO PARTICIPATE IN THE  2023 SCOTCH PLAINS-FANWOOD MEMORIAL DAY PARADE

Dear Friends,

Plans for the 2023 Scotch Plains-Fanwood Memorial Day Parade are now underway. This year's parade will be held on Monday, May 29th. With your help, we hope to continue the tradition of excellent support from all civic groups in our communities.  Memorial Day pays tribute to American military personnel of all wars who made the ultimate sacrifice by giving their lives in service to our country. Your participation will honor these fallen heroes and contribute to the success of the parade.

The theme for this year's parade is "Memorial Day ... Remember and Honor". We will recognize the dedication, commitment and sacrifice of all members of our Armed Forces who have defended our nation and continue to protect our country.

The very popular Memorial Day Parade Float Contest will be included in this year's parade. If your organization would like to enter a float, please fill out the attached form to indicate your interest in participating in the contest. There will be prizes awarded for the top three floats: 1st Place $750.00; 2nd Place $500.00; 3rd Place $300.00. Your float should incorporate the parade theme.

Please complete the attached form and return it as soon as possible so that the Parade Committee can complete its mission -- to have the best parade ever! We look forward to working with you on this important community project honoring our fallen heroes.
