JOB ANNOUNCEMENT - Alliance Coordinator

Title: Scotch Plains Alliance Coordinator

Purpose: To coordinate all program activities for the Scotch Plains-Fanwood Municipal Alliance Committee. At least 480 hours per year. 

Reporting Structure: To the Scotch Plains-Fanwood Municipal Alliance Executive Committee 

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Coordinating the planning, organizing and implementing of activities as outlined in the Department of Human Resources Grant Contract. (Note: This contract is referred to as the “Grant” in all future references”.)
  • Ensure full and complete compliance with all provisions contained within the Grant.
  • Report on a quarterly basis to the Executive Committee of the MAC on the status of the programs as outlined in the Grant.
  • Assist in planning and implementing methods of meeting the Grant “cash match” requirements.
  • Ensure that all programs outlined in the Grant are completed within the allowable time frame and that all components of these activities are within the guidelines established in the Grant.
  • Maintain accurate records of information to be used for evaluation and/or reporting of the programs as specified within the Grant.
  • Submit financial, program activity and programmatic summary reports to the Township representatives for reimbursement in accordance with the Grant.
  • Ensure that any activity/program not contained, in whole or in part within the Grant, receive prior approval from the Scotch Plains-Fanwood MAC.
  • Attend, as necessary, regularly scheduled and/or “special” local, county or State Alliance meetings.
  • Participate in networking opportunities.
  • Investigate and recommend potential programming opportunities to the MAC.

Grant Funded Coordinator: Scotch Plain-Fanwood Municipal Alliance. P/T (flexible hours). Good organizational & communication skills. Ability to work with diverse community interests.
