Parent & Me Squirts

  • Fun and positive introduction to soccer for children ages 2-3 and their parents!
  • Children will learn the fundamental skills of soccer through a program of structured activities, fun based games, and scrimmages...all with the help of mom or dad.
  • The program focuses on learning through a variety of fun games designed to stimulate a child's imagination, develop motor skills, and maximize learning.
  • With you guiding your child through the program under the instruction of the coach, you will help your child follow directions and learn the world's most popular sport all while having bundles of fun!
  • Excellent opportunity to spend quality time together and to ease your child into social situations with support and confidence.

Soccer Squirts

  • Introduces soccer to 3-5 year old boys and girls
  • Participants learn the fundamental skills of soccer including: dribbling, passing, shooting and defending
  • Players will be taught through structured activities, fun games, and scrimmages
  • No prior experience is required
  • Focus of this program is to provide a positive environment while also providing opportunities for motor skill development and social interaction

Senior Soccer Squirts

  • Available to boys and girls ages 5-8
  • While no prior experience is necessary, this program progresses on from the technical foundations established in the Soccer Squirts program
  • Players are introduces to the basic techniques of dribbling, passing, control and shooting through structured exercises and fun, small-sided scrimmages.
  • This program is designed to provide a platform which teaches players the skills to progress on to other soccer programs.

Allied Association: Scotch Plains Fanwood Soccer Association (SPFSA)

The Scotch Plains Fanwood Soccer Association (SPFSA) is an all-volunteer, non-profit 501 (c) 3 organization founded in 1977 that offers the children of the Scotch Plains-Fanwood area (ages 4-17) recreational, developmental, and competitive soccer programs. The organization's primary goal is to offer children a safe and enjoyable experience and to give them the opportunity to learn the game of soccer in a warm and friendly environment in which sportsmanship and mutual respect are the norm.
