- There are two (2) locations in Union County for residents to drop off their scrap metal for recycling, one in Cranford and one in Rahway. The location of the Cranford drop-off is the Emergency Services/ Traffic Enforcement facility located at 151 Kenilworth Boulevard. The Rahway drop-off is located at the Rahway Service Yard located in Rahway River Park off of St. Georges Avenue. The program is open from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. Residents can drop off old appliances, gutters, air conditioners, tire rims and metal lawn furniture, to name a few.
