Household Hazardous Waste (HHW)

- It will take place at the Union County Vocational Technical School (VoTech), which is located at 1776 Raritan Road in Scotch Plains. The event will be held from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. The event will take place in the West Hall (Police Academy lot). Items for drop off include old pesticides & herbicides, pool chemicals, gasoline, oil-based paints and deck stain, and asbestos containing wastes, to name a few. Latex Paint/Acrylic/Enamel (wall paint) is water-based and is NOT ACCEPTED. Latex paint should be dried out and discarded in with your regular trash. This event is drive-up only. Residents must stay in their vehicles at all times at the event. There will be ample signage in place on campus to help residents find the event. This will be the last HHW event for the 2023 season.
